Aussie Industries’ passion is more than just waste management and creating a greener environment for you. As a family owned and operated Aussie business, our core values also lie in giving back to the Australian community. The strong sense of community that is felt within our Aussie Family is truly seen when interacting and assisting the community around us.
Over the past 5 years, Aussie Industries has raised and donated over $500,000.
A few years ago, the idea of an Aussie Industries food truck, Mini Oz, was born and here is where Aussies gives back to the community on a regular basis.
We place a great deal of importance on our employees’ community interests and have established a range of volunteering and workplace giving initiatives to support this.
Aussie Industries has plans to give more today and in the future.
In June 2022, our CEO along with other Australian leaders in business, slept without shelter on one of the coldest and longest nights of the year to help raise funds and awareness for homelessness.
With the support of the Aussie Industries community, over $172,000 was raised.
COCOS is primarily aimed at alleviating the conditions that are faced by those who are poverty stricken and homeless. Such ‘alleviation’ is achieved through helping these individuals on a spiritual, emotional, physiological and social level.
On several occasions, the Aussie Industries staff have rallied together to feed the homeless at Woolloomooloo.
Camp Quality raises funds to help kids create positive memories that can change their cancer story. From hospitals, to schools, online and away from it all; at camps and retreats.
Aussie Industries loves to support foundations that help the ‘little people’, too. Along with National Bank of Australia, Aussies donated $10,000 to Camp Quality.
Little Legs Foundation, a foundation associated with The Charlie Teo Foundation, raises funds to help Charlie’s fight against childhood brain cancer. In April 2022, Aussie Industries donated $5,000 to Little Legs. With every dollar donated, Aussies hopes that more awareness is raised, in turn raising more funds to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for childhood brain cancer.
Cancer, in particular breast cancer hits close to home for a few members of our Aussie Family. For this reason, we donated $2,000 to Pink Ribbon Day to help raise awareness about breast and gynaecological cancers.
Just recently we donated $500 to Breast Cancer Foundation Trivia and Auction Night hosted by the niece of one of our team members.
A current project that we are so honoured and humbled to be part of is one with King Homes, who are the builders responsible for building a new women’s shelter. Aussie Industries has been donating skip bins during the duration of construction to completion.
